Rehabilitation Exoskeleton


Developed in collaboration with the National University of Singapore, the project’s goal is to offer a cost-effective exoskeleton to aid in the rehabilitation of recovering stroke patients. The exoskeleton is strapped to the patient’s limbs and is able to guide the patient’s limbs during a gait cycle.

As the patient improves over time, the inherent force sensing nature of the exoskeleton is then able to progressively reduce assistance. Ultimately it is able to offer a small resistance to the patient’s movement, further strengthening the muscles through resistance training.
